Workshops
Discharge Planning/Case Management - 3 Models
This workshop will include a description of the ESCAPE program, which offers case management and life survival skills for women. Participants will also learn about the model used at the Forensic AIDS Project to provide health education and medical, social, and transitional services to inmates in the San Francisco County Jail system.
The third model will be an overview of the California Department of Corrections, Transitional Case Management Program (TCMP)

The Correlation Between Chemical Dependency and Disease in the Criminal Justice System and Beyond
A look at the process of moving from pain to power. Techniques, concepts, and insights will be presented that center around HIV, Hep C, chemical dependency, alcoholism, and institutionalization.

Bridging the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Gap Between Corrections and Public Health
This workshop will focus on the unique relationships that can be developed between corrections and local public health departments which can lead to reducing the incidence of STDs in both correctional facilities and the local communities. Discussion will include real world examples and include tools for building a working program of mutual benefit for adult and juvenile facilities.

This workshop will focus on the facilitators' experience implementing vaccination and screening programs over the past two years

Transitioning HIV Positive Inmates from a County Jail Into the Community
This workshop will cover issues of county jails in determining the need and providing healthcare for HIV positive inmates. It will include a discussion of early release and sentencing issues, and connections with community release programs.
